Catherine Pooler | Frosty Friends

Hey there, crafty friends! 👋

Welcome back to the blog! It’s Deepa from @deezinesbyd, and today I’m sharing a warm, festive holiday card featuring the Frosty Friends stamps and dies paired with the Holly & Birch 6x6 Pattern Paper set from Catherine Pooler! ☃️🎄🍭

If you love layering patterned papers, Copic coloring adorable seasonal characters, and adding textured stamped details to your handmade cards, this project is right up your alley!

What I love most about this collection is how effortlessly these Catherine Pooler products come together to create a cozy, whimsical winter scene. The Frosty Friends set gives you so many cute elements that do all the heavy lifting for your focal point. For this card, I paired a classic green and light pink plaid background with a deep cranberry postage-stamp frame, centering a rustic woodgrain and vintage text panel packed with holiday cheer.

Check out the full video tutorial below to catch all the crafty tips & tricks used to bring this card together!

One of my absolute favorite details on this card is a fun design feature: using the Catherine Pooler Holiday Textures stamp directly onto the Christmas print panel behind the sentiment! Stamping that subtle texture over the vintage text adds incredible depth, making the sentiment pop while giving the background an extra touch of handcrafted charm.

To kick things off, I die-cut all the structural pieces for the card, including the bold cranberry scalloped frame and the central rustic background panels. I also prepped and colored all the sweet seasonal accessories with Copic markers—from the jovial, specs-wearing snowman to the little pile of snowballs and hand-colored candy canes with holly berries!

The scene construction is where all the magic happens! I mounted the scalloped cranberry frame over the soft light pink plaid background, then layered the woodgrain and stamped Christmas text panel inside. I set our sweet snowman front and center with his little "Snow Balls" sign, then dressed up the corners of the frame with candy canes and holly berries to tie the traditional Christmas look together.

For the sentiment, I stamped the classic "Have a JOLLY Holiday" right over the textured Christmas print panel below the snowman, providing the perfect sweet anchor amidst all the festive action!

To bring it all together, those vibrant Copic colors, classic light pink plaid patterns, and subtle stamped textures tie all the holiday elements together for a polished, eye-catching finish. 💎✨

This card is such a fun reminder of how easy it is to mix, match, and play with Catherine Pooler papers, stamps, and textures to build charm-filled holiday scenes. I hope this design inspires you to pull out your favorite pattern papers and give your Christmas cardmaking a brand-new spin!

Thanks so much for dropping by today, and happy crafting! 🎨✨❄️
