Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Party Hat and Mini Messages: Sassy Birthday

Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Party Hat and Mini Messages: Sassy Birthday

Posted by Colleen Beamish on

Hi there! Colleen Beamish here from @humorbean_cards. Today I’m sharing a funny, sweet birthday card featuring the new Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Party Hat dies and stencils and Mini Messages: Sassy Birthday stamps.

The style I was going for with this card was “pastel unicorn birthday party.” I think I achieved my goal! I loved playing with the Lovely Layers: Party Hat dies and stencils. There are so many different ways to design the fun party hats and an overwhelming amount of techniques to try with the stencils! On this card, I kept things simple with straightforward ink-blending.

I used the Spellbinders Essential Arches dies to create an arch-shaped card and add a pastel rainbow to the background. I had to get creative with the die-cutting so that I didn’t cut out the entire arch shape. Lastly, I added some sassy sentiments from the Mini Messages: Sassy Birthday stamp set. I love the juxtaposition of the sentiments with the sweet style of the card.

Watch the full process video over on the Scrapbook Pal YouTube Channel to see how this card came together.

Happy Crafting!
