Fiesta! by Silvia

Hello. This is the card I made for my hubby birthday and inspired by a Mexican Fiesta.

I used a lot of different stamp sets in it and I had a great time coloring all this amazing images.

Step 1: I started stamping the flag banner from Mama Elephant "Swinging borders" stamp set with Memento black ink directly on the card base and coloring with alcohol markers...I'd like to recreate the papel picado effect.

Step 2: I then stamped images from some Lawn Fawn stamp sets ("Be Hap-pea" for red hot chili peppers, "Let's toast" for avocados and "Year nine" for tacos) and I colored them with Spectrum Noir markers ( taco GB9-GB7-GB1, red pepper DR4-CR9) and Nuvo markers (avocado 417-416-413-412-410 and 465-464-478).

Step 3: I hot embossed the sentiment from the "Year nine" stamp set on a die cut banner from the Lawn Fawn "Double slider surprise card" dies and I used Heffy Doodle "Stitched Alphabetters" dies for the word FIESTA (I used Lawn Fawn vanilla malt and ground coffee cardstocks).
