Floral Encouragement Card by Katie

Floral Encouragement Card by Katie

Hey there friends, Katie here for SP with some lovely blues, greens and golds to give anyone who needs it a little pick me up today!  is one features a new release from Pinkfresh Studio called Go For It. I love making blue flowers, they make my heart happy.

Here is how I made this- First I stamped the floral images from the stamp set using my Misti. I then used the coordinating stencil to apply color one layer at a time.  There are 5 total stencils in this set, for the blooms and for the leaves.

I used a combo of blue Distress Oxides for the blooms and then Greens for the leaves.  Specifically, for the first layer of flowers, I used Salvaged Patina, followed by Peacock, followed by Mermaid Lagoon.  I don’t show the greens here, but I used Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint.

Next, as easy as can be I die cut them out.  Here is the view of them alone and lovely.  I set them aside to work on the background.

Or the background, I decided I needed some lattice, so I pulled out my Plaid Card Front die from C&9 and cut it using cold CS. Then, I mounted this on a layer of blue using a skinny Scrappy Tape. Next, I mounted my florals using foam tape. I stamped the sentiment on green and mounted that. Then I added some pretty pears as a finishing touch.

Well that is all today, I hope you enjoyed this post.  These blooms are just lovely, as PinkFresh knows how to do!  Check them out in the shop. Thank you for visiting.
