It’s Dawn Pauley from D Pauley Designs, and today I’m excited to be sharing a festive Christmas card project here on the ScrapbookPal blog!
If you love creating handmade Christmas cards, you’re going to love the Hero Arts Home for the Holidays Collection. I’m a huge fan of Christmas crafting, and this collection makes it so easy to create beautiful holiday cards with lots of festive details.
For today’s card, I’m using the Hero Arts Winter Wreath Die Set to create a traditional Christmas wreath with metallic ornaments, dimensional layers, and a beautiful embossed background.
For the background, I die cut an arch from white cardstock.
Next, I gave the arch panel some beautiful texture using the Simon Hurley Sparkling Snow 3D Embossing Folder.
I also used the Hero Arts Winter Wreath Accessories Die Set, which includes adorable little houses, trees, ornaments, bows, and more but for my card, I decided to go with a classic Christmas color scheme.
For the sentiment, I decided to use the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Hero Arts Very Merry Wishes Stamp set.
I started by applying an anti-static powder tool to my black cardstock.
Then I stamped the sentiment using Versamark Ink and covered it with gold embossing powder. After heating the embossing powder, I had a beautiful shiny gold sentiment!
