Crafting with Lawn Fawn: Creating a Sweet Easel Card

Crafting with Lawn Fawn: Creating a Sweet Easel Card

Posted by Raquel Sanchez-Krohn on

Hello, crafty friends! Raquel here from @paintsandglitter. Today, I'm excited to share a delightful crafting project featuring the adorable Lawn Fawn Treat Cart collection, along with the Smoothies ‘n Juice Add-on stamps and dies. This project is perfect for those who enjoy whimsical designs and love adding a personal touch to their handmade cards. Let's get started!

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Creating the Card Base (we will use two dies from HoneyBee Stamps-Sending Christmas Joy)

  1. Cut the Base: Using the postage stamp die Stamps, cut two pieces of heavy cardstock. Then, with the rectangular die, cut one piece of card.
  2. Create an Aperture: With the same rectangular die, cut into one of the postage-shaped bases, avoiding one of the long edges. This will form an aperture.
  3. Score the Card: Use a scoreboard to create a score line connecting the two ends of the rectangle. Make a second line two inches from the edge. Fold these lines into a valley and mountain fold.
  4. Assemble the Base: Match the postage stamp pieces and adhere them along the outer edge only. Optionally, use Sky Blue ink to color the base and one half of the rectangle piece. Color the second half with Fresh Pear ink.

2. Designing the Card Front

  1. Prepare the Critters and Cart: Cut out all the die shapes and stamp the images with Intense Black ink. Color them using Copic markers for vibrant results.
  2. Add Highlights: Use a Nuvo white gel pen to add highlights to the images for extra dimension.
  3. Apply Sparkle: Enhance your design with Nuvo Glitter Drop in White Blizzard for a touch of sparkle.
  4. Arrange the Scene: Select a range of images according to the type of cart you wish to create.  Use dimensional adhesive to place the cart image at the center of the panel, the Menu sign, and add ice cream scoops in a topsy-turvy fashion for a whimsical look. 3. Final Touches

3. Final Touches

  1. Add the Sentiment: Stamp “Have The Sweetest Day!” inside the card. Surround it with sprinkles created with drops of color and a small heart stamp from the add-on collection.
  2. Create the Easel Support: Use a 1-inch circle and banana split image adhered with a dimensional square to hold the card open. You could alternately use and of the fruit stamps included.

These cards are not only fun to make but also allow endless customization with different sentiments. For more inspiration and a step-by-step video tutorial, be sure to subscribe to ScrapbookPal.com with the video link below! Thank you for crafting with me today!
