Hello and welcome to the Scrapbook Pal blog. April Leithner (@inkycreationswithapril) here with a loved themed masculine card featuring a couple new products from Honey Bee Stamps. When I received the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Love Wins Die Set and Aces 3D Embossing Folder, my husband saw them and said they would make a perfect masculine Valentine’s Day card. The red and green were his idea as well. The Lovely Layers: Love Wins Die Set has a lot of pieces to it, so I took extra time to plan out my design before I began to die cut images. I did have to add a few pieces and did not use some I originally thought would.
· Run a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8” piece of dark green cardstock through a die cut machine using the Honey Bee Stamps Aces 3D Embossing Folder.
· Apply anti static powder over embossed piece of cardstock, then gently rub VersaMark Watermark Ink over the images. Keep ink pad flat so that the ink only gets of the high parts of the image.
· Sprinkle Wow! Rich Gold Embossing Powder over entire panel. Use old paint brush to remove any powder that is where you don’t want it.
· Heat with heat tool (I used the Wow! Dual Speed Heat Tool) until all the powder is melted.
· Die cut all the parts to create the slot machine in the Honey Bee Stamps: Love Wins Die Set. I used red, black and white cardstock. The gold pieces will be heat embossed so those were cut from white cardstock to start.
· Heat emboss with Wow! Rich Gold Embossing Powder all the white pieces that need to be gold.
· After adhering all the large main pieces of the slot machine together, lay out all the small pieces to double check design. Then adhere those to the slot machine.
· Adhere green background panel to a heavy weight top folding card base.
· Use 3D Foam Squares to pop up slot machine on card.
