Pinkfresh Studio Seasonal Sprigs with Shimmer!

Pinkfresh Studio Seasonal Sprigs with Shimmer!

Posted by Raquel Sanchez-Krohn on

Hello crafters!
Raquel here coming along with a card tutorial featuring the Seasonal Sprigs collection from Pinkfresh Studio. With images and sentiments perfect for the Christmas you will truly enjoy this gorgeous collection!

Today I am pairing the stamps and dies with Nuvo Shimmer Powders and other items available at ScrapbookPal.com. The result will be a watercolor effect and subtle glimmer that you will love! You will be so surprised at how easily you can incorporate these supplies into your card making for amazing results!

Begin by selecting a good mixed media or watercolor cardstock. Alternate adding Falling Leaves, Green Parade, and Ivory Willow Shimmer powders, spritzing each medium with water to watch it transform before your eyes! Using a watercolor brush, spread the colors to cover the entire surface. Make sure to dry each layer of color using your Heat It tool for best results.

Using Ranger archival ink in black, stamp the foliage onto the colored cardstock and stamp your sentiment of choice onto white cardstock. Allow all of your ink to dry fully before proceeding. For highlights, use Dried Marigold and Spun Sugar watercolor distress crayons to each berry and the foliage images using a small watercolor brush and water. Finish the berries with touches of Catherine Wheel Nuvo Shimmer powder also dipped in water.

Once all of your images are cut using the corresponding dies, cut matting layers using the Pinkfresh Studio Dotted Nested Deckled Rectangles. Use the largest rectangle to cut two matting layers from your remaining watercolor card. Now layer the rectangles along with matting layers cut in red cardstock, and arrange the foliage around the uppermost layer of a 4.25” x 5.5” card front. Complete your card with the sentiment and a few Nuvo drops in Red Berry. Finish your card with a few touches of white gel pen as an additional highlight.

Today’s tutorial was not only easy, but very relaxing to make. I truly hope you have enjoyed it, and that you give these products a try. Don’t forget to subscribe to ScrapbookPal.com for more ideas. Thank you for your time!

Be inspired, Be Blessed!
