Spellbinders Celebrate Flowers Press Plates

Posted by Lieschen Harshbarger on

Hi crafty friends! Lieschen here from @harshgurl excited to share with you another card tutorial using Spellbinders' Celebrate Flowers press plates. Love that these plate can be use to celebrate any occasion! I used the press plate in two ways: with hot foil and with BetterPress ink.

I started by warming up my Glimmer Hot Foil System and placing the Celebrate press plate on it. Once it was warmed up, I placed a piece of foil on it and a cotton card panel. Then, I ran it through my die cut machine.

Next, I used the guide from the Celebrate Flowers set to know where to place the flower images around the word "Celebrate". Then, I inked the plate with BetterPress Black ink that came with my BetterPress LetterPress System, placed the foiled cotton card panel on it, and the ran it through my die cutting machine.

Now that I was done with the background, I started coloring the flower images with a brush and Catherine Pooler inks.

I started by wanting to leave the front panel measuring 4 x 5¼ as is but decided to die cut the background using one of the Essential Arches.

I still wanted to add more sentiments to the card so I used a couple from the Always and Forever Sentiment Strips Press Plates set. Then, I used the coordinating dies to die cut the sentiments.

I added some foam adhesives to the sentiments strip and taped them to the foiled background.

I wanted to make this card more colorful so I trimmed a front panel piece out of Lawn Fawn Rainbow paper to fit my A2 card base.

Now that my card base was ready, I glued the arch die cut on the colorful background.

Next, I added some Glossy Accents on some flowers and some Pinkfresh Studio Glitter Drops on the center of the flowers.

Now that I was done, I paired the card to a matching envelope and it will be ready to mail to a loved one on their birthday.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card tutorial as much as I did when I made it and that it gives you inspiration to do something fun and creative today.
