Spellbinders Collaged Birds By Dina Wakley

Spellbinders Collaged Birds By Dina Wakley

Posted by Melanie Smith on

Hello Friends,

Melanie here from @melaniesmithstamps and I am bringing you a playful card today that I am sharing also on the ScrapbookPal YouTube channel. I am featuring the brand-new Spellbinders Collaged Birds Collection by Dina Wakley along with lots of Ranger Distress products including Oxide Ink Pads, Sprays, Mica Sprays, and even Spritz! I just love making backgrounds by mixing and matching similar products from the Distress line because you never know what is going to happen!

I have chosen a soft muted color combo of soft blues, purples, and greens to show off these birds in flight Lets take a closer look....

The ink splatters were made mostly from the Distress Mica Sprays, along with some Dina Wakley Gloss Spray in white. I love this spray because it leaves a shiny, solid white splater.

The Birds are from the Collaged Birds Registration Plate and Dies Set and are BetterPressed using Oxide Ink Pads in coordinating colors one hue darker than the background was inked with. This allows them to seem like they are soaring off the page. I have aligned them in the direction of the birds in flight on the Soaring 3D embossing folder. Lastly, I added the lovely sentiments from the Holding Your Heart Sentiments from the Collaged Birds Collection. I absolutely love this one because it looks like it has been typed with a typewriter and coordinates with the 3D Embossing Folder.

If you would like to learn lots of tips and tricks on how I created this card while watching me create it from start to finish, I invite you over the ScrapbookPal YouTube channel to Craft Life With Me!
