Spellbinders Garden Parasol + Black Eyed Susan Die

Spellbinders Garden Parasol + Black Eyed Susan Die

Posted by Sarah wyles on

Hi everyone! Sarah Wyles here today to share a fun dimensional card with you using the Spellbinders Garden Parasol die and the Spellbinders Black Eyed Susan die. I decided I wanted a little more texture to my card, so I used the Spellbinders Plaid Company detailed embossing folder too. If you want to see the whole process on how I made this card, please make sure to click below and head over to the ScrapbookPal YouTube channel.

I cut out my parasol first, then moved on to the flowers and all the little pieces. I also ran a 4x5 ¼ pieces of white cardstock through my Sizzix with the Plaid embossing folder. I made sure I had everything cut out the way I wanted, so I could move one with adding some extra color to the centers of my flowers before gluing them together.

I added my plaid card base to my card, decided where I wanted my parasol and places a 3D square, I made to pop my parasols handle up with. I glued it where I wanted it under my parasol, out of the way so I could still layer flowers inside. I glued all of my flowers together, added all the fun little bits to the center of each of them and started to layer them inside the top of my Parasol.

I glued some straight to the card base, like I did the Parasol, but I also added some foam squares to some of my flowers. This way I could tuck more of them under and inside. So that I wouldn’t push to many around or add to much, after the first layer of flowers, I cut some of the petals off and continued layering more inside until I was happy with the way it looked. I hope you enjoyed this card and I hope you head over to the ScrapbookPal YouTube channel and see the whole process!
