Spellbinders - Seahorse Kisses Collection

Spellbinders - Seahorse Kisses Collection

Posted by Lieschen Harshbarger on

Hi crafty friends! I hope all of you are doing well! Today, I'm excited to share a card I made using the new Seahorse Kisses Collection from Spellbinders. I have to admit that while I was making this card I was dreaming of visiting one of the many beaches of my home island of Puerto Rico, and enjoy the ocean and all that comes with it.

To start, I made an A2 card base. Then, I stamped and heat embossed the images from the Seahorse Garden set on a separate piece of card stock.

Once I was done with the heat embossing, I started coloring these fun images with Copic markers. Here are the colors I used: E01, E02, B000, B00, BV000, and BV00.

After I finished coloring, I used the Seahorse Garden coordinating dies to die cut each image.

These cute images needed a background so I used Lawn Fawn's Ocean Wave stencil to create some waves. I used Pinkfresh Studio Ocean Breeze ink color to add a nice blue to the background.

I wanted to add some texture to the inked background, so I used Spellbinders 3D embossing folder Cast Away. After I ran the embossing folder through my die cutting machine, I added some color to the embossed area so that it could be more noticeable.

Now, for the fun part: assembling the die cuts onto the front panel and adding a sentiment from the Sea Garden stamp set.

I truly hope today's card has given you some fun inspiration to do something fun and creative today! See you next time with more fun crafty inspiration.
