My name is Deepa from @deezinesbyd and I’m excited to share a vibrant card using the Spring in Kyoto Collection by Spellbinders.
I chose to use some deep green and light pink cardstock to put together my fan, made from the Fan & Bow die set. I also added some matte gold accents to help this fan standout on the green-colored background. Furthermore, I added those gorgeous cherry blossoms in the background from the Cherry Blossom BetterPress Set. To see how this card came together, simply click the ScrapbookPal YouTube link below.
The cherry blossoms on this card were simply letter-pressed using the black BetterPress ink. You could also choose to foil these plates as well, if you have a hot foil machine.
I added some Pinkfresh Studio Cherry Blossom and Peony ink to the flowers with a small blending brush. Then I added some details and the leaf and branch colors with some colored pencils. I find these show up better when coloring on ink.
My sentiment comes from the Crafty Hugs Sentiments set by Yana (released last month) and I chose to foil this on deep green cardstock with gold foil. I absolutely love the font on this sentiment.
Finally, I assembled everything on some more deep green cardstock splattered with some gold watercolor. To add some shine, I added some Pinkfresh Studio Blush gems in the background and on the fan.
