Spellbinders | Timeless Trees Collection by Simon Hurley

Hello crafters and welcome to the ScrapbookPal Blog!
My name is Deepa from @deezinesbyd and I’m sharing a festive green & gold card made with some of the mantle sets from Simon Hurley’s Timeless Trees Collection by Spellbinders.
This card is a larger A7-sized (5” by 7”) project which allowed me to add all the images included in the Mantle Village and Mantle Decorations die sets! I added a pop of pink to this card with smaller ornaments and gift box dies from the Classic Christmas Tree set, also released in this collection. To see how this card came together, simply click the ScrapbookPal YouTube link below.
Here’s a quick tip for getting that third house on the mantle to be a mirror image of the other. Simply die cut your image on the underside of the cardstock you want to use, then flip it over and you have a mirror image, which looks like you used a separate die all together.
I chose to use as many of the images in the die sets as possible to show you how everything fits so well together. And I love that the hanging sentiment banner can either spell “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Holidays!” Not to mention, you can use the positive or negative part of the die-cut for the letters.
I hope this card has inspired you to create something similar yourself, whether it be these particular die sets or the color scheme. Please do check out the tutorial to catch all the tips and tricks as I paper-piece and assemble this Christmas card.
