A little bit of vintage, a little bit of flourish plus a touch of classic equals a burst of fabulous and wonderful creative fun!
For my first card…
- I embossed white cardstock with Spellbinders Plaid Company embossing folder and adhered it to the card base.
- Using the new Spellbinders Timeless Hearts Border dies, I cut black cardstock with the decorative border die and cut a very light sand-colored cardstock with the ‘shadow’/backing die. I used these borders to create a sort of panel as a backdrop – such a lovely border die set!!
- The main flowers were cut from white cardstock using Spellbinders Vintage Florals die set and blended/colored with Distress Oxide Inks Scattered Straw and Ripe Persimmon; the small buds were blended/colored with Distress Oxide Ink Scattered Straw and edged with Ripe Persimmon; then the leaves were blended/colored with Distress Oxide Inks Twisted Citron and Rustic Wilderness.
- The flowers were arranged and popped up onto the card.
- To finish, I cut black and coral cardstock for the ‘hello’ sentiment (included in the Spellbinders Vintage Florals die set)
- Lastly, I used some Spellbinders Splatter White Opaque Watercolor – splattered using a paint brush.
For my second card…
- I embossed white cardstock with Spellbinders Plaid Company embossing folder and adhered it to the card base.
- Using Spellbinders Scallop Labels and Tag dies set, I cut coral and black cardstock, layered the cut pieces and adhered them to the card base.
- Spellbinders Timeless Duo dies add such a pretty touch! I cut gold shiny cardstock with these dies adhering one of the design cuts to the top and then one on the bottom.
- As in the first card, the main flowers were cut from white cardstock using Spellbinders Vintage Florals die set and blended/colored with Distress Oxide Inks Scattered Straw and Ripe Persimmon; the small buds were blended/colored with Distress Oxide Ink Scattered Straw and edged with Ripe Persimmon; then the leaves were blended/colored with Distress Oxide Inks Twisted Citron and Rustic Wilderness.
- The flowers were arranged and popped up onto the card.
- To finish, I stamped one of the sentiments from Spellbinders Typewriter Adventure Sentiments on light yellow cardstock, cut it out and popped up the sentiment strip onto the card.
- Lastly, I used some Spellbinders Splatter White Opaque Watercolor – splattered using a paint brush.
