Altenew Bearded Iris

Altenew Bearded Iris

Posted by Kathy Schweinfurth on

The Bearded Iris flower is one of God’s amazing creations!  Soft flowing petals, vivid splashes of color, delightful fragrance and simply breathtaking!  The Altenew Bearded Iris Layering die set does a lovely job of celebrating this fabluous bloom with two different designs…

For my card…

I embossed a piece of dark green cardstock using the Altenew Organic Linen Embosing Folder

2.  Using the cutting guide included in the Altenew Bearded Iris die set, I cut the pieces from different cardstock.

3.  I then blended Distress Inks (listed below) on the edges of some pieces using the Distress Ink Tiny Blending Tool.

4.  This die set was developed with a Keyhole System which enables lining up the layers with perfection!

5.  I then assembled and glued the layers together using the guide included in the set and arranged the bloom(s) on the cardbase.

6.   Using Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Strips to pop up the flower arrangement onto the card base.

7.   I stamped sentiments from the Honey Bee Stamps Be Still stamp set, cut out with the coordinating dies, and popped them up onto the card.

8.  To finish, I edged some of the petals with Nuvo Glitter Accents Fresh Snowfall and made ‘dew drops’ on the leaves with Nuvo Crystal Glaze.  Then added a few Altenew Enamel Dots.
