Hello, friends! It's Marla here from MAD About Cards and Crafts with a card featuring the "Sweet Friendship" stamps and dies from Gina K. Designs. Let's get right into our card.
It's been a while since I had used my Copic markers, so I dusted them off to colored up this precious bear image from the "Sweet Friendship" stamp set. The stamp set included both a boy and girl bear. I typically send friendship cards to my girlfriends, so I gravitated towards the girl image. I can see the boy bear being used in a future birthday card for my young grandson. After I colored the image, I die cut it twice using the coordinating die included in the set and adhered them together for dimension.
Next, I began cutting cardstock to help ground my image and sentiment. I had a blue piece of cardstock which I cut to 3.75" x 5". Using "Faded Jeans" Distress Ink I added a floral pattern to the cardstock with the Gina K. Designs "Daisy Chain" Stencil. I thought this stencil and the tone-on-tone inking complimented my colored image.
I had stamped my sentiment using "Abandoned Coral" Distress Ink, so I found a cardstock that matched and cut a large circle and then a smaller circle from white cardstock. I inked up one of the clouds from the stamp set to add to the white circle to complete my mini scene.
Finally, I die cut my sentiment twice and adhered them together for more dimension. To finish, I assembled the remaining die cuts adding them to 4.25" x 5.5" top folding card base to complete the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Until next time.... Marla
