Honey Bee Stamps Lean On Each Other stamps & Bold Backgrounds

Posted by Sarah wyles on

Hi everyone! Sarah Wyles back today to share with you a very pretty card using some amazing Honey Bee Stamp products. The Bold Background Vintage Roses die is just beautiful and the Lean On Each Other stamp and die set are delicate and perfect! II also use quite a few distress oxide in this process as well.

I started this process by pulling some cardstocks from my stash. II had picked a light purple, light yellow, light green and light blue. I ran the Vintage Roses die through first with the light green cardstock and set it to the side and continued with cutting out the purple flowers, then finishing off my die cutting with the light yellow for the centers of the flowers.

Once I had got everything separated, I pulled out my distress oxides, all were darker colors then the cardstock to add contrast and shading. I added shading on the light green cardstock with the Mowed lawn and crushed olive. I focused mainly on the stems and where the leaves connected to them. I continued with this on the flowers with Dusty concord and the flower centers with fossilized amber.

After shading everything, I started to adhere the flowers to the green piece. At this point I needed to make sure my card panel was ready. So, I got the light blue piece and used Salvaged patina and Peacock feather around the edges, leaving the center the lightest and then adhered the floral piece down. I cut out two sentiments form the Lean on Each other stamp set, one for the front of my card and the other for the inside. II created my card base out of a bright blue cardstock and adhered my panel, added the beautiful sentiments on the front and inside and called this card done!

I really hope you enjoyed this card and make sure to go watch the process video, so you don’t miss anything I did!
