Hey there, crafty friends! 👋 Welcome back to the ScrapbookPal Blog!

It’s Deepa from @deezinesbyd, and today I’m sharing this sweet and cheerful friendship card featuring adorable Lawn Fawn florals and critters. 🌸🐭💕 If you love clean designs with playful details, dimensional die cuts, and soft spring-inspired colors, this project is definitely for you!

What I love most about this card is how effortlessly the florals and critters work together to create a charming little scene. The combination of layered flowers, bright greenery, and the tiny mouse holding a potted bloom gives this card such a lighthearted and happy feel. Lawn Fawn always does an amazing job creating products that make scene-building simple and fun!

For this card, I started with a clean white card panel and die cut a circle in the center to reveal the soft pink cardstock behind and to help ground the floral arrangement, creating a focal point. This simple shape adds contrast while still keeping the overall design fresh and minimal.

The curved sentiment wraps beautifully around the floral arrangement and helps guide the eye around the focal point. I love using curved sentiments because they add movement and playfulness without overwhelming the design. The sentiment pairs perfectly with the adorable mouse holding the flowerpot, symbolizing the idea of choosing a special flower just like you would choose a cherished friend. It ties the entire design together with a sweet and thoughtful friendship theme.

Next, I worked on building the floral cluster using layered die cuts and soft ink blending. I used light pinks for the flower centers along with bright greens for the stems and leaves to keep the design feeling vibrant and springy. The dimensional layering really helps the flowers pop off the card while adding movement throughout the arrangement.

I also included tiny accent images like the buzzing bee and small blossoms to help fill in the scene and make everything feel cohesive. To finish the card, I added a few sparkly embellishments for extra shine and dimension. These tiny details catch the light beautifully and give the card that polished finishing touch while still keeping the overall look soft and clean. 💎💕

This project is a great reminder that simple scene-building can create such an impactful card design. By combining florals, critters, and layered die cuts, you can easily create cards that feel full of charm and personality without needing overly complicated techniques.

I hope this card inspires you to mix florals and critters together in your own projects and experiment with layering elements to create playful handmade scenes!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and happy crafting! 🎨✨
