Hello and welcome to the ScrapbookPal Blog. April Leithner (@inkycreationswithapril) from the design team with you today with a cute Christmas in July card. The new North Friends Collection from Spellbinders is packed with adorable sets. I grabbed the Polar Bear Pals and North Pole Sentiments Die Sets to create my card.
· Die cut Polar Bear Pals and North Pole Sentiments images from white, red, black, pink and light blue cardstock.
· Use Distress Oxide Inks and Mini Blending Brushes to ink blend some color around the edges of some the images. Pumice Stone for the white, Salty Ocean for the light blue, and Ground Espresso for the red.
· Adhere all the images together.
· Ink blend with Distress Oxide Salty Ocean lightly around a 4x5.25” piece of white cardstock. Ink blend heavier toward the edges and get lighter towards the center to create a spotlight effect.
· Free hand cut a snowy hill from some white glitter cardstock.
· Adhere glitter piece to bottom of ink blended panel.
· Adhere sign pole directly to card.
· Pop up bears with Foam Squares.
· Use Splatter White Opaque Watercolor from Spellbinders to splatter “snow” over the panel. Let dry.
· Adhere panel to white top folding heavy weight card base.
· Adhere pom poms to bears hats.
These bears are so cute, and I love how this card turned out. Wintery scenes always are fun to create. Make sure to check out all the sets in the Spellbinders North Pole Friends Collection on the ScrapbookPal website. Thanks for stopping by and I hope this card inspires you to start creating your holiday cards.
