Spellbinders - Shiny New Day Card

Spellbinders - Shiny New Day Card

Posted by Raquel Sanchez-Krohn on

Hi crafters!

Raquel here from the design team, bringing you a darling card today with Spellbinder’s Shiny New Day collection. This collection includes cleaning supply dies, florals, a 3D embossing folder with two designs, and a full set of matching stamps.

I enjoy making top-folding A2 cards, and began by using the Suds & Buds embossing folder to create a matting layer full of bubbles. This is definitely a versatile folder you will return to time and again! My video below shows you how to assemble all of the die cuts in the collection.

To top off my card, I fit all of the elements in shades of teal making use of dimensional adhesive, and nestled the heat embossed sentiment between the mops and florals that states: “You can do hard things”. It is an excellent sentiment for this collection, but you have 16 choices to make uplifting cards with any arrangement you prefer. Next, I added the panel to the card front, and any remaining florals inside the card for a nice finish.

Lastly, I added shine and small droplets using Nuvo glitter gloss on the white florals, white Nuvo drops on the flower centers and small highlights with a white Nuvo gel pen. The result is an airy card with a monochromatic finish and lots of texture! It is truly unique!
