Hello crafty friends, and welcome to the ScrapbookPal Blog!
I'm Deepa from @deezinesbyd, and I’m thrilled to share a festive and fun Christmas in July pop-up card featuring the whimsical Wonderland Collection by Spellbinders. Let’s bring a little holiday magic to your summer crafting!
As mentioned, this card features a clever cardstock pop-up spring that adds incredible dimension—making that Yuletide Ride pop right off the background! The best part is that it requires no special tools or extra supplies and is super easy to create. Want to see it in action and learn how to add this fun pop-up element to your own cards? Just click the ScrapbookPal YouTube link below to watch the full tutorial.
I started by choosing a color palette I found online and selected similar shades from the cardstock I had on hand. Of course, you can always use white cardstock for all your die cuts and add color using inks to suit your style and project.
I took some time to paper-piece the large Yuletide Ride die-cuts, using a small piece of white cardstock as a backing for added structure and stability—perfect for popping up the image without it falling apart. For the background, I used the Snowfall Shimmer BetterPress plate to add a touch of elegance with Matte Gold Foil, and paired it with a sentiment from the Merry Messages BetterPress set.
To finish off the card, I added a touch of gold string to the ornament above the car and embellished it with Pinkfresh Studio clear iridescent drops for a bit of sparkle. I hope you love how it all came together!
Have a Great Day & Happy Crafting!
